Project SELECT: Social Emotional Learning in Early Childhood for Infants and Toddlers

The Early Intervention Program (EIP) at the Center on Human Development has been funded to develop a curriculum for use by parents and home visitors that will improve social emotional competence in young children with disabilities and at risk for disabilities.

These intervention components will be developed:

  1. An intervention and materials based a sound theory of intervention that can be easily understood and used by home visitors and parents;
  2. Research including treatment fidelity with families, and home visitors
  3. Collection of data on effects of using the intervention with parents and babies.
