CAC Blog Spring 2026: Coming Together at the OSAC Regional Event

In spring 2026, Disability Council members joined Lane County People First and other self-advocates for an OSAC Regional Event.

Each self-advocacy group gave a presentation about its members and activities. It was a chance to learn what other groups are doing, share ideas, and celebrate the growing self-advocacy movement in Oregon.

Our Council members also led a game of BINGO! It was a fun way to bring everyone together and enjoy time with friends, both old and new.

Advocacy groups give people with disabilities opportunities to speak up, build friendships, develop leadership skills, and make a difference in their communities.

Self-advocacy is stronger when we come together.
