Helping people speak up for themselves is a key part of the CAC’s work to improve life for Oregonians with disabilities. Our current project, “Expanding Access and Accessibility for Self-Advocacy through a Universal Design for Learning Framework,” helps CAC members grow their self-advocacy skills and share them with others. This project was created with input from CAC members.
Through this project, CAC members will:
- Make handouts and videos on self-advocacy and share them online and at events.
- Get training to improve their skills in advocacy, outreach, and leadership.
- Connect with rural groups to work together and strengthen advocacy efforts.
