Helping people speak up for themselves is a key part of the CAC’s work to improve life for Oregonians with disabilities. Our project, “Expanding Access and Accessibility for Self-Advocacy through a Universal Design for Learning Framework,” supported CAC members to grow their self-advocacy skills and share them with others. This project was created with input from CAC members.
Through this project, CAC members:
· Made handouts and videos on self-advocacy to share online and at events.
· Received training to improve their skills in advocacy, outreach, and leadership.
· Connected with rural groups to work together and strengthen advocacy efforts
