Process of Placement
This section provides an overview of the school-based processes and procedures involved in the initial placement process including initial testing and evaluation, the role of families, the multidisciplinary team, initial IEP development, and the provision of special education services.
Service Delivery
Many different services and supports can be provided to students with disabilities during elementary school including support learning important academic skills, support to develop functional skills such as self-care skills (e.g., brushing teeth, combing hair, etc.), communication and speech language skills, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
