The denial of the right to have healthy, intimate relationships has caused social and emotional harm. Everyone has the right to sexual education and to freedom and support to develop healthy sexual relationships if they choose. People with disabilities, regardless of severity, also have the right to develop friendships outside of their circle of support providers.
