Teachers and Educational Assistants Creating Communication, Collaboration, and Coaching Habits to Increase the Implementation of Evidence-based Practices (TEAC3H)

TEAC3H is a professional development program for Educational Assistants (EAs) consisting of online learning modules that include activities to translate skills into practice. Each module comprises four steps designed to provide bite-sized and ongoing PD that can be flexibly delivered. TEAC3H currently focuses on preparing EAs to support students in elementary settings experiencing behavioral, social, or emotional challenges.

Decoding Challenging Behavior Image 5

Behaviors that feel challenging can be confusing. Here are tools to help understand how behaviors can meet student needs.

Relationships matter, and this video provides ideas to authentically connect with your students.

Understanding the Escalation Cycle Image 7

An overview of the escalation cycle with considerations to prevent and support students who may be struggling.

Nate Emerson
Nate Emerson

Nate is a videographer and video editor on the autism spectrum who is passionate about helping other people with disabilities tell their stories. He currently works as a contractor for various organizations such as Cognitopia, Supported Living Learning and Earning with Autism (SLLEA) and the University of Oregon. His hope is to continue creating far into the future.

Chris Sandow
Christopher "Topher" Sandow

Topher is a videographer and disability advocate who fights to tell the stories of disabled people who aren't able to do so alone. Topher now uses his own experiences with disability to relate to his fellow disabled individuals and better people's understanding of what it means to be disabled.
