Alexis is the Community Advocacy Council (CAC) Liaison to the UCEDD researchers and to the wider developmental disability community. She is also a developmental disabilities behavior professional and trainer using a relationship-based approach to relieve stress, strengthen bonds, and build skills. For over 20 years, Alexis has been empowering individuals, families, and teams to realize greater self-determination and fulfillment through person-centered practices. She teaches workshops on co-regulation, personal boundaries, healthy sexuality support, the science of behavior, and more. Alexis loves discovering and sharing research and practical tips about what drives us, connects us, and heals us.
